Mom Salary

mom If a stay-at-home mom could be compensated in dollars rather than personal satisfaction and unconditional love, she'd rake in a nifty sum of nearly $117,000 a year. That's according to a pre-Mother's Day study released by Salary.com. The eighth annual survey calculated a mom's market value by studying pay levels for 10 job titles with duties that a typical mom performs, ranging from housekeeper and day care center teacher to van driver, psychologist and chief executive officer. Captain America

Matthew McConaughey is among the favorites to land the leading role in Marvel's upcoming Captain America movie, according to reports. He is an early leader in the race to don the patriotic red, white and blue suit for the 2011 movie. But website CinemaBlend.com insists McConaughey is only one of the actors Marvel bosses are considering for the role. MovieBlend.com also offers a critique of the movie star as Captain America, suggesting he'd be a "strange choice." The website reports, "Though he's made a lot of movies, there's still been no real evidence that Matthew can really act. Aside from his questionable acting ability, there's also his public persona as a rarely bathed, pot smoking slacker. The McConaughey we've all come to know embodies just about everything that Captain America isn't."

Happy Anniversary to Rice Krispies, turning 80. They taste like nothing, but they're wonderful. Especially mushed up with marshmallows in a Rice Krispies bar. How to Make Classic Rice Krispies Treats: Melt 3 tablespoons butter or margarine in a large pan over low heat. Add 4 cups miniature marshmallows and stir until melted. Remove from heat. Add 6 cups Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well-coated. Using buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture into 13-by-9-by-2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cut into squares when cool. Best if served the same day.

Papa John's Pizza is getting a lot of success from online ordering. Online ordering of pizza is great: all you have to do is type in your name, address, phone number, choice of pizza and toppings, credit card number, expiration date, and security code. As opposed to making a 30 second phone call to do the same thing. Really, there are some things that technology doesn't improve all that much. Read more.
